The 30, 60 and 120 hour coach training programs are designed for applicants who hold a qualifying degrees or diplomas and are seeking to fulfill requirements for the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) coach certification through BIPC or the Board Certified Coach (BCC) coach certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) (see requirements at http://www.cce-global.org/Credentialing/BCC/Requirements).
The Goal-Focused Coaching course series achieves the core competencies for coaches by focusing on the knowledge and required for a professional coaching practice:

Ethics and Regulatory Guidelines; Coaching Knowledge and Applications; Assessment and Practice Management.
Course learning is achieved through weekly assigned reading, course assignments, experiential and observational learning, peer discussion, and coaching role play or practice sessions. The average total estimated time commitment per course is 30 hours.
Students pursuing CPC or BCC coach certification must complete the appropriate program based on the applicable educational requirements.

Required Endorsements: Upon successful completion of the applicable training program, we will be happy to assist CPC and BCC Applicants with professional endorsements required for CPC or BCC credentialing applications.​

Required Verification of Experience: For credentialing candidates needing verification of professional coaching experience for CPC or BCC application purposes, a coaching verification package, including three verification sessions with a professional coach, is available for coaches who have completed our professional coach training programs. The Goal-Focused Coaching online coach certification program is divided into four, thirty-hour courses and designed for applicants who hold a qualifying educational degrees and are seeking to fulfill requirements for the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) or the Board Certified Coach (BCC) coach certification through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) (see requirements at http://www.cce-global.org/Credentialing/BCC/Requirements).

The training courses are designed to be completed through an online, virtual, on-demand format and structured to build the candidate's coaching skills, knowledge and competencies beginning with session 101 and continuing through sessions 201, 301 and ending with session 401.* In accordance with the BCC and CPC (as applicable) eligibility requirements, candidates should take the following course(s):

Goal-Focused Coaching Certification Course Description​
​
The Goal-Focused training program has been approved by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE) and achieves the BCC core competencies for certified coach training by emphasizing (1) coaching knowledge and applications, (2) ethics and regulatory guidelines, (3) practice management, and (4) potential assessments needed for professional coaches working from a Goal-Focused perspective with individuals, businesses and organizations. Students will have the opportunity to explore an area of personal interest for more in-depth focus for one assignment from a specific coaching area in which they have interest.

Course learning is developed through assigned readings, online discussion forums, short weekly video training opportunities, learning activities, practice coaching sessions and personal reflection reports. There will be an exam over the assigned reading, video training, online discussions, learning activities and practice coaching interactions at the end of each course. The exams may include multiple choice, short answer, and true/false questions. Students must score a 70 or above on the exams in order to successfully complete each course. Grades are calculated on a “points possible” basis. The number of points earned is divided by the number possible.

Students must have regular internet access to complete this course.
​
Successful completion of the applicable training program is required to fulfill the requirements for certified coach training for qualified individuals who plan to pursue the Certified Profession Coach (CPC) or Board Certified Coach (BCC) certifications.​

Additional reading materials, video assignments, practice coaching exercises, reflection posts and discussion boards are provided through the online course materials.

Successful completion of 30, 60 or 120 hours of training will allow qualified individuals to pursue the Board Certified Coach (BCC) credential offered through the Center for Credentialing and Education. Successful completion of 30, 60, 120 or 360 hours of training will allow qualified individuals to pursue the Certified Professional Coach credential (CPC) offered through the Barnabas Institute of Professional Coaching.
Course Prerequisites

In order to satisfy the requirements of this Program, individuals who wish to apply for the CPC or BCC coach certification must be able to demonstrate that they have met specific educational requirements. The Barnabas Institute's education requirements for Certified Professional Coach credentialing match the educational requirements for the BCC, however, a separate review of degree programs and prior coaching certifications may be beneficial.

How to Succeed in this Course
​
This course is designed to prepare you to become a CPC or BCC certified coach. Read assignments and all course announcements carefully. All assignments, coaching activities, reflections and discussion topics are important learning activities and required for successful completion of each course.
Attendance Policy - Engaged participation is required to complete the training program and meet training requirements. Attendance is established by completing all assignments, reflection posts and discussion topics in the online learning platform.

Program Dates
Cancellations and Refunds
​
The courses are virtual classes that are available on demand and completed at your own pace. Unless there are extenuating circumstances, it is anticipated that candidates will complete each thirty (30) hour course in three to six weeks but not more than three months. In the unlikely event that a scheduled BCC training course must be canceled, registrants will be notified of the cancellation not less than one week prior to the scheduled course start date and registrants will be granted a full refund or may choose to enroll in an upcoming session. If circumstances prevent you from completing a course in which you have enrolled, please let us know within the following time frames in order to receive a refund or partial refund less any credit card processing fees:
